TAIANA VANITY F/W 18/19

Taiana Vanity Fall Winter 2019 is a sophisticated collection switching from fluidity to violent style shifts for an exciting and often unexpected dynamism. It is the final result of a unique style research where the most cutting-edge textile technologies have been explored.

It is a universe that can be divided into four main galaxies.

The Thinker
The fluid fabrics (viscose-silk, viscose and viscose-cotton) have taken their shape. A unique feeling of quiet is going through this galaxy where classical colors blend like powder touches while showing a hint of vintage, where minimalism and maximalism carry out their design conversation through a luxury style.
Stripes dominate: greys remind of marble layers from the sacred architecture of the regions of Liguria and Tuscany; silk overdyes featuring a sophisticated and iridescent look, up to a new regimental interpretation in shirting style.

HumaNature
A multicultural ethnic theme of nomad inspiration, where seemingly different influences blend under a common guiding theme. Eastern flowers mixed with bright-colored symbolic patterns on dark backgrounds, tapestry teamed to stripes: back to instinct and nature deep colors for finding enhancing imperfection, which makes items unique and exclusive.
A new and special spirit is brought to life: light backgrounds in cotton blends to be mixed to woolly parts in ethnic patterns, woolly plumetis and significant fil coupè.

Worldhood
An urban style where cultural overlaps and urban substrates translate into several looks. Heavier cotton blends with woven stripes and paper hands alternate with light backgrounds with glossy touches, in a mixed graphic street style and night street style.

DarkWonder
Mistery plays of reflected lights shining in a dark sky getting into a sea; effects made of flock, lamine, glitter, lurex and transparancies playing with overprints. A grey and black universe where lights and colors show up from time to time.
Cotton blends as opposed to organza touches, but also light and heavy stretch bases.

TAIANA CULT F/W 18/19

Taiana Cult Fall Winter 2019 collection was born with the idea of both looking afresh at previously viewed spaces and exploring new ones which were never seen before.

It is about an harmonic movement, where each single step is needed to become part of a unique orchestral pattern, where everybody plays their own role. Different experiences are moving inside the collection and ‘Green’, i.e. eco-responsibility is playing a starring role. The first part of the collection features cotton with micro-geometries and weave patterns with spot color cuts and raids. Then we get to the very audacious reinterpretation of camouflage with triton-like color effects or ‘now-you-see-now-you-don’t’ weave effects. An excellent study has been performed on weave patchworks playing with 3D-patterns destroyed by scratches and cuts. The cotton ethnic universe is also playing a significant role in its being not ordinary but indeed the result of a painstaking investigation in materials and style.

A new era has then come to life featured by a Taiana classic: the New Age item, a key and firm point in their offer, today newly conceived and revised for a recycled version with a classical touch, or also overprinted jacquard. Another House specialty is the marvelous denim offer with overprinted micro-patterns; among new processing techniques ‘needling’ is definitely a kind of technical virtuosity to be explored and well viewed. Tone-on-tone flock is featured by different motifs: from stripes to cashmere patterns. Still within the framework of oppositions, the lacquered fabric stands out with its contrast-motifs. Novelty among novelties is the introduction of a capsule collection, jacket weight or pants with a limited selection of dark patterns and hints of color.

TAIANA Spring Summer 2018

CULT collection
Energetic, lively, material and tangible, quick and irreverent: the SS 2018 TAIANA CULT collection avoids any definition but the afore-mentioned adjectives are the ones that best depict it.

VANITY collection
It is the theme of contrasts, veiled or declared oppositions that accompanies and goes through the entire SS 2018 Taiana Vanity collection: a very careful and well-measured research that aims at discovering the origins of women’s elegance.
